Haneyya gov’t: Some media serve Israel and try to weaken our people’s morale

GAZA, (PIC)– The Palestinian government headed by premier Ismail Haneyya on Monday strongly denounced some media outlets for spreading rumors and serving the aims of the Israeli occupation in an attempt to undermine the morale of the Palestinian people and defame their courageous resistance.

In a statement received by the PIC, the government underlined that Israel uses all means to spread rumors and lies through dropping leaflets from warplanes, sending telephone messages and penetrating radio and TV transmission in order to deepen the internal rift and spread grudges among citizens.

The government expressed its dismay and regret at media outlets for following suit and playing the same role of the Israeli media campaigns.

The statement stressed that the government was always and still is keen on pooling the efforts against the Israeli aggression and thus decided from the beginning not to engage in any sort of media wrangling with any Palestinian or Arab party, noting that the government would open this file and frankly talk about it after the end of the Israeli aggression on Gaza.

The statement called on human rights organizations, Arab and Palestinian lawyers to document and prepare files about Israel’s atrocities in Gaza in order to prosecute the Israeli war criminals in international tribunals.
