Harakah Muqawwamah Islamiyyah (Hamas) lahir sebagai kelompok sosial pada 1978. Sejarah pertumbuhan Hamas tidak lepas dari peran almarhum Syekh Ahmad Yassin yang mendirikan organisasi sosial dan dakwah di daerah pendudukan Jalur Gaza dan Tepi Barat pada 1973. Hamas makin populer ketika aksi intifadah (1987-1993) melawan tentara Zionis Israel berkobar.
Seiring waktu, Hamas berkembang menjadi sebuah partai politik. Secara tidak terduga pula, Hamas memenangkan Pemilu bebas dan adil pertama di dunia Arab, dengan program mengakhiri korupsi kronis yg terjadi dan memperbaiki pelayanan publik yang hampir tidak ada di Gaza dan Tepi Barat.
Doha – Infopalestina: Syaikh Yusuf Qardhawi, ketua Persatuan Ulama Dunia, mengatakan bahwa apa yang terjadi di Jalur Gaza adalah kemenangan perlawanan Palestina atas alat pembunuh Zionis Israel dalam perang yang berlangsung selama lebih dari 3 pekan dan mengakibatkan lebih 7 ribu warga Palestina gugur dan terluka.
Qardhawi mengucapkan selamat kepada Palestina baik pemerintah maupun rakyatnya atas kemenangan ini. Dia memuji pertempuran yang ditorehkan putra-putra Gaza pada hari-hari pertempuran, persatuan dan kesetiakawanan antara rakyat Gaza. Qardhawi juga memuji pemerintah Palestina di Jalur Gaza yang berdiri di shaf pertama untuk melawan agresi Zionis Israel. Dia mengatakan, “Bila pemerintah-pemerintah Arab terpisah dengan rakyatnya, maka pemerintah Gaza menyatu dengan rakyat dan aparatnya melebur bersama anak bangsa Palestina lainnya hingga seorang menteri dalam negerinya, Said Sheyam, gugur besama keluarganya.
Kalau ada ribut-ribut di negara- negara Arab, misalnya di Mesir, Palestina, atau Suriah, kita sering bertanya apa signifikansi dukungan terhadap negara tersebut. Hari ini ketika Palestina diserang, mengapa kita (bangsa Indonesia) ikut sibuk?
Sebagai orang Indonesia, sejarah menjelaskan bahwa kita berhutang dukungan untuk Palestina dan negara arab lain.
Dari berbagai sumber yang diperoleh, Sukarno-Hatta boleh saja memproklamasikan kemerdekaan RI de facto pada 17 Agustus 1945, tetapi perlu diingat bahwa untuk berdiri (de jure) sebagai negara yang berdaulat, Indonesia membutuhkan pengakuan dari bangsa-bangsa lain. Pada poin ini kita tertolong dengan adanya pengakuan dari tokoh tokoh Timur Tengah, sehingga Negara Indonesia bisa berdaulat.
Gaza – Infopalestina: Ismael Haniyah, PM Palestina mendeklarasikan kemenangan rakyat Palestina dalam perang melawan Israel di Jalur Gaza yang berlangsung selama 22 hari. Ia menyebut ini pertolongan Allah.
Dalam pidatonya di TV kemarin sore Ahad (18/1) ia menegaskan pasukan Israel harus meninggalkan Jalur Gaza secara penuh tanpa syarat apapun, membuka perlintasan, membebaskan Jalur Gaza dari blokade, tidak boleh ada lagi blokade setelah darah warga Jalur Gaza tumpah oleh kejahatan Israel. Ia menegaskan bahwa Palestina harus bekerja kembali menyempurnakan langkah-langkah yang sudah dimulai. Ia mengisyaratkan bahwa gencatan yang diumumkan oleh Palestina juga sebagai upaya memulai penarikan pasukan Israel dari Jalur Gaza, pembebasan blokade dan pembukaan perlintasan.
Haniya yang menegaskan bahwa apa yang terjadi di Jalur Gaza adalah kemenangan rakyat, dunia internasional dan kemanusiaan menyatakan bahwa rakyat Palestina saat ini berada dalam episode sejarah dan kemenangan historis. Kemenangan ini dinilai sebagai pintu luas menuju kemenangan pasti yang paling besar. Yakni kemenangan yang berdasarkan kepada komitmen memperjuangkan hak-hak, prinsip-prinsipnya, membebaskan tanah Palestina, mendirikan negaranya yang merdeka dengan kedaulatan penuh dengan ibukota Al-Quds, membebasakan semua tahanan Palestina di penjara-penjara Israel, kembalinya pengungsi ke kampung halaman mereka.

GAZA, (PIC)– A report issued by the Saudi Al-Watan news paper revealed Saturday that Jewish rabbis in the Zionist entity have issued a religious edict allowing the killing of Palestinian women and children and exonerating every Jew doing such horrible thing.
According to the paper, the rabbis opined that the Israeli massacres in Gaza Strip falls in line with Jewish teachings that consider such killing as “mass punishment to the enemies”.
The paper also added that one of the rabbis opined that there would be no problem at all in exterminating the Palestinian people even if one million or more of them were killed at the hands of the occupation troops.

The UN headquarters in Gaza has been set ablaze during some of the heaviest attacks in the 20-day-old Israeli offensive.
The United Nations Relief and Work Agency (UNRWA) building was being used as a shelter by up to 700 civilians fleeing the bombardment of the Palestinian enclave when it was struck.
Spokesman Chris Gunness said: “Our compound in Gaza has now received three hits, reportedly of white phosphorus. Buildings in the compound are on fire, there are loaded fuel tankers nearby. Three people have been injured.

GAZA, (PIC)– The death toll of the continued Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip rose with the end of the 16th day on Sunday to more than 900 Palestinians most of them were children and women, while the number of injuries rose to 4,100 Palestinians.
According to Dr. Muawiya Hassanein, the director of emergency services in the health ministry, Israel killed 906 Palestinians so far including 277 children and 93 women.
On Sunday, the IOF troops continued the acts of ethnic cleansing killing more than 38 Palestinians in one day and wounding dozens others.
Meshaal said that any international monitoring force in Gaza would be treated as an occupation force [AFP]

Hamas has said that the Gaza war has put an end to chances of negotiations with Israel, calling on Arabs to pressure Tel Aviv to cease its attacks on the Gaza Strip.
In a televised speech on Saturday, Khaled Meshaal, the exiled-Hamas political leader, said Israel’s offensive on Gaza, which has killed more than 850 Palestinians, had failed because Hamas was still firing rockets at Israel.
“You have finished off the last chance and breath for settlement and negotiations,” Meshaal said.

The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 854 and more than 3,650 injured as the Israeli offensive entered its third week.
The air and ground attacks continued on Sunday with Israeli aircraft bombarding different targets in the strip and ground forces advancing further into the outskirts of Gaza City.
